Intermediate French
Tuesday 8th January to 12th February
and 26th February to 2nd April, 10am to 11.30am

Need some help with your French grammar and conversation? Together, we will improve our language skills and continue to appreciate the rich, varied and frustrating complexities of this beautiful language. The course book is Facon de Parler 2 4th edition (not included in the course fee). Beginning at Chapter 17.
This is a continuation course but all newcomers are welcome to this friendly group.

Inbetweeners French
Tuesday 8th January to 12th February
and 26th February to 2nd April, 12pm to 1.30pm

If you already have some experience of French but would like to continue to build on your knowledge and confidence, this is the course for you. Starting at unit 13 of Facon de Parler part 1, 5th edition (not included in the course fee) this course will help you get to grips with the wonderful language.
This is a continuation course but all newcomers are welcome to this friendly group.

Real Beginners French
Tuesday 8th January to 12th February
and 26th February to 2nd April, 2pm to 3.30pm

If you have always wanted to learn French now is your chance! Learn from the beginning in a supportive, relaxed atmosphere with no pressure of exams. Step by step discover the beautiful language with the help of a native speaker. Learn how to become independent on holiday by learning to order food at a restaurant, ask for directions with confidence, shop or just chat to the people
you meet.The course will start using Facon de Parler part 1(not included in the course fee).

Spanish

Spanish Conversation – Intermediate Level
Wednesday 9th January to 13th February &
and 27th February to 3rd April, 10am to 11.30am

This course is designed for those of you who have a fair grasp of basic Spanish and would like to continue to improve the spoken language. We will follow a programme taken from many different sources. Classes will be topic based, with emphasis on speaking Spanish in everyday situations and may include glimpses of culture in Spanish speaking countries.
This is a continuation course but all newcomers are welcome to this friendly group.

Get by in Spanish
Wednesday 9th January to 13th February &
and 27th February to 3rd April, 10am to 11.30am

If you already know some Spanish and you would like to extend your knowledge beyond basic holiday phrases, this course will suit you. While based around the normal scenarios of shopping, eating, travelling and hotels, the course will also equip you to interact socially with Spanish people.
The course book for the term will be Talk Spanish 1 (not included in the course fee) moving on to Talk Spanish 2 during the term. Improve your Spanish and learn about the delights of Spanish culture in a friendly and supportive environment.

Beginners Spanish

If you have always wanted to learn Spanish, now is your chance! This course will help you develop basic skills in speaking and understanding the Spanish language in a friendly and supportive way. You will enjoy learning general topics such as talking about
yourself and family, how to order a meal, plus many things to help you get by when you visit Spanish speaking countries. This course is an ideal introduction to the beautiful Spanish language, culture and people.

Italian

Beginners Italian
Monday 7th January to 11th February
and 25th February to1st April, 10am to 11.30am

This is a course for complete beginners who would like to develop basic communication skills. The course will encourage use of language in a range of contexts with emphasis on listening and speaking skills, combined with an understanding of the association this beautiful language has with art, music, food and history. All materials provided for the course but a notepad and pen will be useful.
Come along, have fun and learn something new!

Intermediate Italian
Monday 7th January to 11th February
and 25th February to1st April, 10am to 11.30am

If you already have some grasp of Italian then this topic-based course will help you develop your conversation skills and improve your grammar. The course will encourage use of language in a range of practical/cultural contexts, with grammar including use of
tenses and developing wider vocabulary linked to each theme covered. All materials are provided for the course but a notepad and pen will be useful together with a dictionary.
