Dorset Architectural Heritage Week is an annual event which aims to stimulate public awareness of Dorset's rich architectural and cultural heritage by allowing free access to many properties that are normally closed to the public or charge for entry.

One weekend of the event is always timed to coincide with the national Civic Trust Heritage Open Days event. As a result of this many Dorset buildings featured in the event are publicised nationally through the Heritage Open Days publicity.

Since the event began in 1994 EDHT has provided support and assistance to the Dorset Conservation Officers' Panel who organise the many visits, tours and talks which fill the week long event. Most recently this support has been the provision of a booking facility for some of those events that have a limited capacity.

The Trust currently has responsibility for the administration of the event as a whole, along with all of the attendant publicity.
