Italian Courses

These courses started in September 2025 so are continuation courses. We welcome all newcomers to our friendly groups and will try to make sure you join the correct level for you.
Advanced Italian
If you have a proficient grasp of Italian, then this course, led by a native speaker will help you develop your conversation skills and improve your grammar. The course will encourage use of language in a range of practical/cultural contexts, and grammar including use of tenses and developing wider vocabulary linked to each theme covered.
Course Dates:
Monday 5th January to 9th February (with half term break on 16th February) and 23rd February to 23rd March, 10am to 11.30am
Intermediate Italian
This is a course for those who have a good knowledge of the Italian language and who are progressing well in their learning but still need help. The course will encourage the use of language, to help you gain confidence while developing vocabulary and grammar to strengthen communication skills and help you advance with this wonderful language.
Course Dates:
Monday 5th January to 9th February (with half term break on 16th February) and 23rd February to 23rd March,11.45am to 1.15pm
Beginners Italian Moving On
This is a course for those who have a basic knowledge of the Italian language but are still classed as a ‘beginner’. The course will encourage the use of language, to help you gain confidence while developing vocabulary and grammar to strengthen communication skills.
Course Dates:
Monday 5th January to 9th February (with half term break on 16th February) and 23rd February to 23rd March, 1.30pm to 3pm
Improvers Italian
This is a course for those who have basic knowledge of the Italian language who have progressed beyond the ‘beginner’ stage but still have much to learn. The course will encourage the use of language, to help you gain confidence while developing vocabulary and grammar to strengthen communication skills and help you advance with this wonderful language.

Monday 5th January to 9th February (with half term break on 16th February) and 23rd February to 23rd March, 3.15pm to 4.45pm
Beginners Italian
Come along, have fun and learn something new! This is a course for complete beginners who would like to learn the basics of this beautiful language. The course will encourage use of vocabulary in a range of contexts with emphasis on listening and speaking skills, combined with an understanding of the association this expressive language has with the wonderful Italian culture.

Monday 5th January to 9th February (with half term break on 16th February) and 23rd February to 23rd March, 6pm to 7.30pm

Isabella was born in Ostuni, southern Italy and has taught Italian all over the world and is also an author of several books.
She came to live in the UK about 7 years ago and loves living here in Dorset.
